The Story
Sometimes you want something sweet but do not want to buy a whole container of cookies. Janelle saw a true gap in the market for cookie dough that was not only the perfect size to feel satisfied with just eating one but also one that did not compromise the quality of ingredients. Turning the back of the packaging, all of the ingredients are ones you can find right in the kitchen. As a self-proclaimed homebody herself, she wanted to create a cookie that you did not have to leave your home to enjoy.
The cookie itself has a unique story.
It is made with two different flours to create the base for everyone's favorite type of cookie: one that has crinkled edges and is crispy on the outside but chewy on the inside. The vanilla bean paste adds an extra depth of flavor and literal specks of vanilla bean pods that traditional vanilla bean extract cannot provide. Chocolate lovers will all appreciate the combination of semi-sweet and bittersweet chocolate chips to help tone down the sweetness of the sugar. This is also balanced with the sea salt baked right in. The bittersweet chocolate specifically pays homage to Janelle's upbringing as the first 10 years of her life started on a street called Bittersweet Lane. The star of the show, the brown butter, gives a unique, nutty flavor to help bring this all together and give you what we, and others, call the best cookie.
